I took these pictures in 2010 with a Fujifilm Instax Mini 50S, an instant camera that used Instax Mini film. It was at the high end of the Instax Mini camera line at the time, noted in particular for its stylish design in “piano black”.
I’ve always enjoyed Lo-Fi snapshot photography in all its forms, and especially the instant film variety. I like the challenge of having to find subjects and lighting that suit the camera’s limitations rather than the other way around. I took these pictures within walking distance of my apartment in Ottawa with a Fujifilm Instax 210
This is my original Polaroid SX-70. It was a gift from my now-late parents in 1974. I took these snapshots with it until it stopped ejecting pictures sometime in the early 1990’s. I still have it.
